SCHOTT VisiLEDs bring contrast into stereo microscopy
■ controllable in segments ■ easily adaptable to microscope objectives ■ homogenous illumination of your object field ■ best white light quality: typically 6,000 K ■ excellent light values: up to 100 lm total light flux. Illumination intensity of ringlights up to 120 klx, light density of transmitted light stage up to 8,000 cd/m2 ■ long operating life: typically 10,000 h by actively controlling the LED chip temperature
The VisiLED MC series is an innovative
illumination system using white LEDs.
Specially developed for the fields of stereo
microscopy and macroscopy, this system
opens up completely new possibilities for
putting your specimen in the right light.
The excellent electronic controllability of
the LEDs affords the MC series contrasting
methods which go far beyond the possibilities provided by conventional illuminations.
Cold light is
brought precisely to the specimen – as you
would expect from SCHOTT heat-free and
with the best quality white!
Structured illumination for brightfield
and darkfield : The modular system offers
four ringlights for different applications,
two ringlights for intensive incident
illumination (working distance 25–50 mm
or 55–135 mm) and a ringlight for lower
brightness requirements.An additional
ringlight for real incident darkfield
(working distance 10 mm) ensures
optimum illumination of flat-structures
specimens.
The LED transmitted light stage provides
homogenous and suitable light for your
application in transmitted light.
The basic MC750 controller is available for lower contrasting requirements (just dimming and LED temperature control).
The MC1500 controller offers :
innovative possibilities for contrasting your
specimen. By steering up to two illumination
heads the MC1500 makes e.g. quick
changeovers between brightfield and darkfield
or targeted mixing of incident and
transmitted light illumination possible.
■ 5 segments modes plus rotation
for optimum contrasting
■ smooth dimming with overdrive
position
■ 4 memory positions
■ temperature control of illumination
heads
■ flash (external trigger via
synchronous cable)
■ computer interface
(RS232, USB optional)
■ foot switch for quick changing
of memory positions (optional)
Software – full control from the PC:
The MC1500 controller can be steered completely by PC or laptop. You can use the Windows demo software provided or also integrate the enclosed DLL in your specific software. After downloading to the memory keys of the MC1500 the chosen settings are available on the controller – even without connection to a PC. In this way a larger number of MC1500s can be equipped with identical illumination modes in a very short space of time.
The software makes it possible to operate all controller properties and diverse extra functions by remote control, e. g.:
■ individual segment steering
■ strobe light (on-time, frequency)
■ flash duration and intensity
■ saving of setting files in the PC
■ downloading of settings to the MC1500
